Chapter History

The chapter was founded officially in 1929. We'd previously been a local sorority (Sigma Delta Pi, 1905) who heard about what TriDelta was accomplishing across the country and petition to affiliate as a group. This was a growing trend at Denison, as Greek Life began to expand from small local chapters to national organizations. We love this portion of our history, and still have some of their items along with the beautiful ivory and gold china that our initiation banquet was served on.

Just a decade later in 1939, through the generosity of our alumnae and the tenacity of our members an expansive formal living room and Greek portico were added to re-orient our home towards Mulberry. For nearly 100 years, our alumnae and chapter members continued to manage our home until in 2019 we had the opportunity to transition to TriDelta National Housing. This is a unique opportunity for our chapter to be professionally managed, renovated, and supported by the strength of a whole portfolio.

We still have so much fun with our house and as one of the largest on campus, we have our own;
▲ Kitchen to prepare meals, cookies, and snacks in
▲ Craft room with canvases, paints, and tons of supplies
▲ Alumnae library as a cozy and quiet place to study
▲ Guest suite for our parents or siblings to stay in
